My favorite time of the day is when I prepare myself a hot bath after a stressful day. As I open up the jar of my homemade bath scrub recipe, the powerful fragrance of this calming lavender and rose blend sends me to euphoric bliss!

What a great way to melt away all the anxieties and frustrations of the day!

How to Make Bath Salts: The basic ingredient used for making bath salts is salt or a combination of different type of salts. All you have to do is throw some salt in a jar and if you want to get a little adventurous; you can choose to add color and essential oils. Just add a color at a time or a drop of aromatherapy oils at a time to get the aroma that best suits you. The most common type of salt used to make scrubs are Epsom Salt and Sea Salt. They come in different grain sizes from fine to coarse. The salt I often use is Dead Sea Bath Salts. I like the organic appearance and the healing benefits of this mineral rich salt. You can also try Himalayan or Bolivian Pink Salt.

Add 10 to 20 drops of your favorite essential oils to 1 cup of salt. Add the bath salt mixture to the bath when it is almost full so the oils do not prematurely evaporate. Climb in the tub and enjoy the healing aroma!

Body scrubs usually are wonderful exfoliants. They give our body a healthy radiance by shedding those dead cell buildup remaining on our skin.
